SOCIETY RECEIVES DONATION OF BASEBALL RESEARCH BOOKS
University of Pennsylvania Professor Bruce Kuklick has graciously donated his collection of more than 70 books to the Society’s Library. Over the years many college students, authors, high school students and regular fans of baseball mull through these library volumes to learn about the history of baseball. With this fantastic assortment of books from SABR Magazines, The National Pastime, The Federal Leagues of 1914-1915 & many other important reviews of baseball’s history, The Society can lay claim to having available an assortment of books most likely the best in the Montgomery & Bucks County areas of Pennsylvania.
Kuklick, an author in his own right in authored, what has proven to be the most sought after book in the Society’s Gift Shop. Published in 1991 by the Princeton University Press, Kuklick’s “TO EVERYTHING A SEASON - SHIBE PARK AND URBAN PHILADELPHIA 1909-1976.” Our most sincerest appreciation to Mr. Kuklick for his generous contribution to the Society’s Library.
