1905 - In the second World Series ever, John McGraw's New York Giants defeated Connie Mack's Athletics in 5 games. It would take Mr. Mack's White Elephants,(so labeled by McGraw) 6 years to gain his revenge against another McGraw Giants team.

1910 - In the first ever Fall Classic held at the then one year old Shibe Park the Philadelphia Athletics won Game one 4 to 1 defeating the Chicago Cubs. Connie Mack's A's went on to take the series also by the same margin 4 games to one. This championship was the first of 5 won under Connie Mack.

1913 - After a one year absence from the series Connie Mack's Athletics made it two in a row over a John McGraw Giants team winning the series in 5 games.

1914 Philadelphia Version - In one of the biggest upsets up to that time in World Series competition the heavely favored Philadelphia Athletics were swept in 4 games by the Boston Braves managed George Stallings. The Braves were in last place in the National League as late as mid-July and earned the Champs the nickname "The Miracle Braves." The replica scorecard is available in both the A's & Braves home field program.

1930 - For the 5th and final time the Philadelphia Athletics won the World Series by defeating the St. Louis Cardinals in 6 games. It would only take the Cardinals one year to avenge their loss.
