Did
Jimmie Foxx hit one of his 534 homeruns on your birthday?
His first homerun
was hit for the Athletics on May 31,1927 at Shibe Park against the New
York Yankees. The pitcher was Urban Shocker. His final homerun was hit
for the Phillies on September9,1945 at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh against
the Pittsburgh Pirates. The pitcher was Johnny Lanning. In 1951 Foxx was
elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.
If you would like to enroll in the Jimmie Foxx Homerun on my birthday

confirm your selection by return e-mail at which time you can indicate
your preferred
method of payment or order below but be sure to email us at yorkroad6@aol.com
with your birthday.
The Society will have on display in the Museum section individual
placards with your name, the date & HR number and your name
as sponsor. You also will receive this beautiful collectors item
certificate confirming your sponsorship.

534 pre selected Foxx homerun plaques in this manner will be on
display in the Society's Museum "waiting for a sponsor."

Once you select your favorite Foxx homerun date, the yellow tag
will be replaced in this manner with your name address and the date
& number you select.
The Society has designed 534 of these numbered special
plates dated to commemorate each of Foxx's homeruns. They will be
displayed in numerical order throughout the Museum section of the
Hatboro facility. If by chance there were no homeruns hit on your
birthday you can still participate. Simply pick another more favorable
date for one of your own or a family member, or friends special
occassions. |
