Two months after this photo was taken this 21 year old Lancaster Red Rose infielder, made his Major League debut. His career of 15 years was highlighted by his induction in 1983 into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Do you know his name?

Here's a clue. This New York Mirror wire photo was taken at the Commodore Hotel on December 18th 1954. The occasion was the Major League Ball Players Meeting. Can you also name the 4 Hall of Famers in this pre Marvin Miller led group? Missing is the Detroit Tigers representative.

Philadelphia A's Visit San Quentin

Connie Mack held spring training in Anaheim, California in the early 1940's. This photo taken at San Quentin in 1942 - shows Mack in the center - also visible are Elmer Valo, Dick Fowler, Phil Marchildon, Lester McCrabb, Pete Suder, and Russ Christopher.
