Jimmie Foxx Remembered
Sudlersville, MD
September 30, 2000

The
weekend of September 30 - October 1st was a very special time
in the small town of Sudlersville, Maryland as it hosted visitors
in conjunction with the Queen Anne County's "Pathway's to
our Past" celebration. The setting was made even more
beautiful as the weather cooperated with two fantastic fall
days. The weather and the crowds were brisk as many
stopped by the Sudlersville Train Station Museum to take in
the fine displays that included a section dedicated to the
former Athletics & Red Sox great. The A's Society was
present and had many of the fine quality items of sportswear
available normally through the Gift Shoppe for the local residents
to purchase. Of particular interest was a commemorative
Jimmie Foxx tee shirt & coffee cup made especially for the
weekend's activities and dated. The following photographs
are an illustration of the weekend's activities and some of
the visitors to the Museum and Society tables. |
