basketball coach to visit Mickey Vernon Sports History Museum
Joe Cirilli, executive director of the Delaware County Athletes
Hall of Fame, has announced that Bo Ryan,one of the respected Division
1 basketball coaches in the country, will visit the Mickey Vernon
Sports History Museum on Wednesday July 29, 6:30 to 8:30. Ryan coach
of the University of Wisconsin Badgers, has recently returned from
Belgrade Serbia, where he served as head coach for the for the USA
team in the recently completed World University Games. He currently
has the highest overall winning percentage in the NCAA among coaches
with at least years experience as a head coach. In 2007, he won
the Claire Bee Coach of the Year award, recognizing him as the coach
making the most significant contribution to his sport during the
preceding year. While he is at the museum, Coach Ryan has offered
to autograph any item of a visitor's choice and to answer any questions
about coaching basketball at the junior high school through Division
1 level. The Sports History Museum is located at 1 Beaver Valley
