Eddie
Joost in Cooperstown!

Eddie Joost will be at the Hall of Fame on August 7, 2008 to talk
about his remarkable career in major league baseball. He will appear
in the Bullpen Theater at 1 pm to discuss his career and answer
questions from the audience.
Joost has a lot to talk about, from his membership on the 1940 World
Champion Cincinnati Reds team to 1954 when he served as the player-manager
of the Philadelphia Athletics. Joost has a closet-full of stories
to tell that are sure to be informative and entertaining for those
assembled. One of the episodes he will recall occurred in 1949 when
he and the rest of the Philadelphia A's infield set the record for
the most double-plays completed during the regular season--a record
that still stands some 60 years later.
The Hall is excited about Joost's appearance and so is the A's Society.
If there is any way you can make it to Cooperstown to attend this
event, do so. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is
sure to be worthwhile and memorable.
